Travyn Schiffner

Counselor

Hi, I’m Travyn. I believe that therapy can be both a grounding and empowering experience, one where your story and identity are honored on your terms. My counseling approach is trauma-informed and highly integrative, blending Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, DBT, and Attachment Theory elements with deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

I’m especially interested in working with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating trauma, DV, identity development, relational challenges, and/or life transitions. As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I bring both lived experience and a strong neurodiversity affirming lens to my work. I aim to create a space where clients feel safe to unmask, express themselves authentically, and explore their desired ways of being without judgment.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a storyteller and creative professional. It's something that still shapes how I see the experiential power of ritual, creation, movement, and connection when supporting clients. I show up with openness, warmth, and curiosity. Whether we’re working together one-on-one, in partnership, or as a group system, I believe therapy is a space where we can move gently, and intentionally, to whichever direction it is that my clients desire to go.
