Susanna Sphar

Clinical Social Work Associate

Hi, I’m Susanna, and I’m glad you’re here. My approach to therapy is person-centered, strengths-based, and grounded in mindfulness. Together, we can explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, build greater awareness of what is happening in the present moment, and make space for the wisdom and values already within you.

I work with people across the lifespan and I bring a rich background in early childhood education, college campus wellness services, hospice, and acute care social work to my therapeutic practice. My academic background focused on psychology, religion, and social work.

I believe our identities, relationships, families, communities, and broader social contexts all shape how we experience the world and one another. I strive to bring cultural humility and awareness of power, privilege, and positionality into my work.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me reading, drinking coffee with a friend, or doing art projects with my daughter. The ordinary moments of being present with the people I love are deeply meaningful to me, and I try to bring that same warmth and humanity into my work.
