Delanie is a Masters’ level Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern, with a strong
academic background in psychology and biology. Delanie has experience supporting individuals
across diverse populations, focusing on emotional well-being and social-emotional development.
Through coursework in counseling skills, human development, and psychopathology, along with
hands-on experiences as a research assistant, teacher, and childcare provider, Delanie has
developed strong active listening, empathy, and communication skills.
Delanie has experience observing and engaging in Radically Open Dialectical Behavior
Therapy groups and holds a special interest in applying evidence-based approaches such as
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support
client growth and resilience. Delanie is passionate about helping children develop healthy coping
strategies, emotional regulation, and social skills, while also assisting adults in navigating life
transitions, personal challenges, and mental health concerns.
