My name is Ben Montoya and I am an agency affiliated counselor working with Kathryn Zawislak Therapy and Associates. I work specifically with students in middle and high schools within the school day. Serving the LGBT and other at-risk populations is something I have studied and experienced throughout life. I seek to provide a safe space for all. Recognizing that personal experience and culture can shape perceived reality is important when attempting to reconstruct maladaptive thinking patterns. I utilize person-centered therapy, socratic questioning, motivational interviewing, and openness to empower my clients.
